Proper Process to lodge a complaint  

As a matter of process, please note that formal complaints against HDBS governance or governing persons, that relates to activities in the context of HDBS function, have to be lodged in writing with supporting documents to the legal committee or addressed to the President of the Executive Board. These will be addressed and resolved by the legal committee with appropriate recommendations to the EB, which can take further action based on their merits and HDBS constitution. HDBS advises members not to use the public domain to lodge complaints or level allegations, bypassing due process. HDBS will not be able to protect it's members if the complaints prove to be inaccurate and form the basis of individual and institutional libel. Even if the complaints are accurate and acted upon appropriately by HDBS Executive Board, they may still involve loss of public reputation for HDBS and violation of privacy rights for individuals and lead to undue harm - the resulting tort may in turn invite legal remedy, besides administrative action as per the following clauses of HDBS constitution : 4.10.1 A member may be suspended or expelled from HDBS if such a member is deemed to have conduct or activities, in violation of the mission, objectives or Bylaws of the Society. 4.10.2 Undesirable activities may include providing false information to HDBS, creating a loss of honor for the Society, its bodies or its membership, or financial activities aimed at individual benefit or misappropriation of or damage to the Society.
